Xiangqi

Chinese Chess board game against a computer opponent. To win you need to capture the general of your opponent.

Move your pieces according to their unique movement rules. The Commander can only move one square at a time within the fortress. Guards can only move diagonal moves within the palace. Ministers move exactly two squares diagonally and cannot cross the river. Horses move one square straight and then one square diagonally, if not impeded by adjacent pieces. Rooks move any number of squares straight, serving as powerful attackers. Catapults move like chariots but must jump over exactly one piece. Pawns move forward one square and attack sideways after crossing the river. Take the opponent's general to win the game. Strategize your moves carefully to defeat the computer opponent.
